A-Line Staffing is now hiring an LTC Closed Door Pharmacist in Warren, MI. This is a great opportunity for a licensed pharmacist seeking a full-time onsite role with a steady weekday schedule and shift differential opportunities.

Job Responsibilities

• Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately and safely
• Monitor patient medication compliance and identify over-usage patterns
• Ensure prescribed medications are appropriate and compliant with applicable laws
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
• Manage pharmacy files and documentation in accordance with regulations
• Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, storage, and drug interactions
• Answer patient questions regarding prescription and non-prescription medications
• Educate patients on the proper use of medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters
• Compound medications for internal and external use as needed
• Prepare sterile solutions following proper procedures
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, clerks, and other pharmacy support staff
• Maintain inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies
• Identify drug-related issues and communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
• Collaborate with pharmacists, pharmacy interns, and clinical staff to support quality patient care

Schedule

• Monday-Friday
• Shift options:
  • 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
  • 1:00 PM-9:00 PM

Additional Pay Information

• Base Pay: $64.27/hour
• 2nd Shift Differential: $2.50/hour
• 3rd Shift Differential: $6.00/hour
• Overtime: 1.5x average straight-time rate across shifts 1-3
• Double Time: 2x average straight-time rate across shifts 1-3

Qualifications

Required

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
• Current license issued by the state pharmacy board
• Ability to work onsite

Preferred

• Experience counseling patients on medications
• Experience with compounding medications and/or preparing sterile solutions
• Experience supervising pharmacy staff
