A-Line Staffing is now hiring Pharmacy Order Entry Technicians in Washington, NC 27889.
The Pharmacy Order Entry Technician would be working for a nationwide pharmacy group that focuses on providing exceptional customer service to hospitals, rehabilitation hospitals, long-term acute care hospitals, and specialized care centers. This role offers career growth potential. This is a full-time position, working 40+ hours per week.

Pharmacy Order Entry Technician Compensation
- The pay for this position is $22.00 per hour
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Pharmacy Order Entry Technician Highlights
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- The required availability for this position is Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with Saturdays 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Pharmacy Order Entry Technician Responsibilities
- Triage, interpret, and input orders into the computerized medication order system while meeting accuracy and productivity standards of the pharmacy
- Audits input versus documentation and makes corrections as needed
- Perform drug calculations, including basic mathematical calculations (e.g., converting milligrams)
- Resolve issues of denials identified through adjudication and follow up claims in Point of Sale (POS)
- Maintain current knowledge of Medicaid claim regulations and processes
- Produce reports and keep management informed of unpaid claims and claims pending follow-up
- Provide excellent customer service to external and internal customers in accordance with company values
- May assist with drug preparation and dispensing under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist
- Perform other tasks as assigned, including assisting in any area of the pharmacy as directed by management
Pharmacy Order Entry Technician Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Pharmacy-related experience
- Basic understanding of drugs, medication terminology, and the metric system; ability to operate a computer
- Pharmacy Tech Licenses/Certifications: As required by state regulations and business needs
- Detail-oriented; goal-oriented, team player, customer service skills, and strong oral communication
Pharmacy Order Entry Technician Preferred Qualifications
- PTCB Certification (preferred but not required)
- Pharmacy Data Entry experience
