Pharmacy Returns Technician Compensation

The pay for this position is $22.00 per hour

Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment

7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Must be comfortable lifting 40+ pounds

Pharmacy Returns Technician Responsibilities
-
Process customer prescription returns
-
File and save daily credit reports
-
Sort medications by drug type and return to stock for resale when applicable
-
Pop, cut, and/or deblister medications for destruction when required
-
Process expired medications and make inventory adjustments in the computer system
-
Seal containers of discarded or expired medications in preparation for haul-away
-
Prepare finished prescription products with proper labeling, including auxiliary and cautionary labels

Perform manual packaging of materials and products

Assist with pre-packing frequently ordered medications

Label and stock products during low-volume times
-
Replenish stock and consumables
-
Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA
-
Comply with departmental policies related to safety, attendance, and dress code

Work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required

Perform other duties as assigned; responsibilities may vary based on business needs
Pharmacy Returns Technician Requirements
-
High School Diploma or GED
-
Pharmacy Technician license and/or certification as required by state regulations
-
Knowledge of brand name and generic medications
-
Basic computer and data entry skills
-
Basic math skills
-
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
-
Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work at a moderate pace
-
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting 40+ pounds
-
Must be able to work various shifts and days
-
Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
Pharmacy Returns Technician Preferred Qualifications
-
Previous pharmacy experience preferred
-
Long-term care pharmacy experience is a plus
-
Data entry and/or IV experience is a plus
