Pharmacy Technician | Details and Compensation:
  • Location: Portland ME 041035 – 100% on-site
  • Payrate: $24.45 – 25.14/hr – based on shift
  • Required Availability: Monday to Friday + rotating weekends
    • Day: 9am - 5:30pm ($24.45)
    • Mid: 11am - 7:30pm ($25.14)
    • Evening: 2:30pm - 11:30pm ($25.14)

Pharmacy Technician | Summary and Highlights:

The Pharmacy Tech will be working under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, you will be responsible for filling prescriptions, preparing IVs, and ensuring accurate and timely medication delivery.
  • This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Pharmacy Technician | Responsibilities:
  • Fill prescriptions and prepare IVs under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
  • Collaborate with the Billing Supervisor to enter data into computer systems for prescription fulfillment and reimbursement.
  • Assist in prepackaging medication for dispensing according to standards and regulations.
  • Aid in the final checking of filled prescriptions, including stating medications for RPh review and/or packaging post-RPh review.
  • Coordinate the accurate and timely delivery of medications to customers.
  • Assist Pharmacy Management with inventory control, including receiving, rotating, and maintaining accurate records of medications and supplies.
  • Post lot numbers and expiration dates, and assist with physical inventory.
  • Work with the Technician Supervisor to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Check equipment for calibration, safety, and cleanliness.

Pharmacy Technician | Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED (Verifiable).
  • Pharmacy Technician license in the state of ME
  • National Certifications preferred
  • 1 year of pharmacy tech experience – long-term care setting preferred
  • Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
