PHARMACY TECHNICIAN | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
- Location: South Salt Lake UT 84115 – 100% On-site
- Payrate: $24.45/hr
- Required Availability: Full-Time | Tues–Thurs, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM; Sat and Sun, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
PHARMACY TECHNICIAN | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The Pharmacy Technician will support pharmacists by filling prescriptions, preparing IVs, and ensuring accurate data entry for billing and reimbursement. This role also assists with medication packaging, inventory control, and maintaining a clean, compliant work environment.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance

PHARMACY TECHNICIAN | RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to fill prescriptions and prepare IVs.
- Collaborate with the Billing Supervisor to enter prescription data and process reimbursement claims.
- Assist in prepackaging and labeling medications according to state and federal regulations.
- Support the Pharmacist in final prescription checks, including staging medications for review and coordinating timely deliveries.
- Maintain accurate inventory control, including receiving, rotating stock, tracking lot numbers, and managing expiration dates.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and compliant work environment, checking equipment for calibration, safety, and cleanliness.
PHARMACY TECHNICIAN | REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- Active Utah Pharmacy Technician License required.
- Previous pharmacy experience preferred (retail, inpatient, or long-term care).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team-focused environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
