Pharmacy Technician

Location: Hanover, PA 18706
Pay: $25.01 per hour
Position Type: Full-Time

We are seeking Pharmacy Technicians to support daily pharmacy operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Pharmacy Technicians work under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist and assist with prescription processing, IV preparation, medication packaging, billing, inventory, and delivery coordination.

Available Shifts

1st Shift – Opening 1

• Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

• Every other weekend: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

1st Shift – Opening 2

• Monday–Friday: 11:00 AM–7:30 PM

• Every other weekend: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions and prepare IV medications under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

• Enter prescription and billing information into the computer system to support accurate processing and reimbursement.

• Prepackage medications for dispensing in accordance with pharmacy standards and government regulations.

• Assist Pharmacists with the final review process, including identifying medications for Pharmacist verification and packaging medications after final approval.

• Coordinate accurate and timely medication delivery to customers.

• Receive, organize, and rotate medications and pharmacy supplies.

• Maintain accurate lot numbers and expiration dates.

• Assist with physical inventory and other inventory control activities.

• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment.

• Check pharmacy equipment for proper calibration, safety, and cleanliness.

• Follow all applicable pharmacy procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

• Comfortable working with computer systems and entering detailed information.

• Ability to follow established procedures and maintain accurate records.

• Reliable attendance and ability to work the assigned weekday and every-other-weekend schedule.
