A-Line Staffing is now hiring Pharmacy Technicians in Asheville, NC. The Pharmacy Technician would be working for a Fortune 500 company and has career growth potential. This would be full-time, 40+ hours per week.

Pharmacy Technician Compensation
- The pay for this position is $18.00 per hour.
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.
Pharmacy Technician Highlights
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.
- The required availability for this position includes rotating shifts: 8 AM - 7 PM or 9 AM - 8 PM, 4 days a week.
Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities
- Fills prescription items, as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy, packaging medications for dispensing and delivery, meeting accuracy and productivity standards.
- Labels products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels.
- Participates in periodic inventory checks.
- May check in drugs and supplies, stock shelves, and remove out-of-date items.
- Prepares medications, which may include non-sterile compounding.
- Communicates with internal and external customers professionally.
- May process returned medications for credit or destruction.
- Assists in training new employees.
- Performs additional tasks, such as working in the Controlled Drugs Room, using automated machines to prepack drugs, managing inventory functions, data entry, mixing/packaging IV medications, and servicing facility-based medication dispensing machines.
Pharmacy Technician Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Mandatory attendance for the first 90 days.
- Experience in a pharmacy setting and with medical terminology.
- Ability to operate a computer and recognize medications.
- Detail-oriented, goal-oriented, team player, with effective oral communication skills.
- Pharmacy Technician license is required (registration with the State will occur after the start date).
Pharmacy Technician Preferred Qualifications
- Long-Term Care pharmacy experience.
