Pharmacy Order Entry Technician Compensation
- The pay for this position is $22.00 per hour
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
- Full-time hours with the opportunity for growth within a nationwide healthcare provider
- Position requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a team
- Triage, interpret, and input medication orders into the computerized system while meeting accuracy and productivity standards
- Perform drug calculations and conversions (e.g., milligrams)
- Resolve denial issues identified through adjudication and follow up on claims in the Point of Sale (POS) system
- Maintain current knowledge of Medicaid claim regulations and processes
- Produce reports and keep management informed of unpaid claims and pending follow-up
- Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers
- Assist with drug preparation and dispensing under the supervision of a Pharmacist
- Perform other tasks as assigned, assisting in any area of the pharmacy as directed
- Experience in pharmacy order entry or related field is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform drug calculations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet accuracy and productivity standards
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
- High School Diploma or GED required
