Job Description:

This position is located in a Central Fill pharmacy in Everett, WA, responsible for supplying patient-level prescriptions for a large retail national chain. This role does not involve patient interaction, answering phones, or dealing with insurance companies. It’s a fast-paced, team-oriented position focused on high-volume automation. Pharmacy Technician - Central Fill Schedule & Location:

• Location: Everett WA 98204 United States
• Schedule:
  • Sunday: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
  • Monday - Thursday: 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm

Pharmacy Technician - Central Fill Salary/Wage:

• $26.00/hr

Pharmacy Technician - Central Fill Duties:

• Fill prescriptions by manually filling vials with prescribed tablets and capsules.
• Read computer-generated screens to identify the correct medication and verify size and strength.
• Perform basic math to ensure the correct quantity is dispensed.
• Replenish medication in automated dispensing cells by opening bulk bottles and cases.
• Use handheld scanners to input product information, such as expiration and lot numbers.
• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure products are not expired or damaged and avoid cross-contamination.
• Prepare cold chain and specialty prescriptions, following strict handling and packing protocols.
• Assist with packing and shipping prescriptions in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Adhere to federal and state HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety and privacy.
• Complete weekly cycle counts, assist with inventory audits, and help investigate discrepancies.
• Problem-solving: Address and escalate any issues as necessary to management.

Pharmacy Technician - Central Fill Required Qualifications:

• Education/Certifications: Pharmacy Technician License and National Certification through PTCB or ExCPT are required.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to focus on repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet daily production goals.
• Must be punctual and demonstrate reliability.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and processes in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Pharmacy Technician - Central Fill Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a high-speed environment with automation.
