Pharmacy Tech (Shift Differential)

Location: Warren, MI (on-site)
Pay: $24.45/hour (W2)
Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, rotating weekends
Type: Contract (40+ hours/week) — potential to convert based on attendance/performance/business needs

A-Line Staffing is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for an on-site opportunity in Warren, MI with a well-established organization and strong potential for career growth.

Compensation & Benefits

• $24.45/hour
• Benefits available to full-time employees after 90 days

Key Responsibilities

• Fill prescription items and package medications for dispensing and delivery
• Label products accurately (including cautionary/auxiliary labels)
• Prepare medications, including non-sterile compounding (liquids, powders, ointments, etc.)
• Enter patient/prescription data into the system to generate labels
• Support inventory processes (stock checks, remove expired meds, etc.)
• Process returned medications per pharmacy protocol
• Assist with training/onboarding new pharmacy staff
• Work in specialized areas such as Controlled Drugs/Narcotics Room
• Operate automated packaging/prepack machines
• Mix IV medications and help maintain IV room sanitation/equipment (as needed)
• Service facility-based dispensing machines (e.g., RxNow)
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Active Pharmacy Technician license (per state requirements)
• Previous pharmacy experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Comfortable using computers and accurately identifying medications
• Detail-oriented with strong organization skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work on a team
• High School Diploma or GED
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

Preferred

• Long Term Care pharmacy experience
• Compounding, IV prep, or medication packaging experience
