A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Pharmacy Technician in Pittsburgh, PA! The Pharmacy Technician 2 will be working for a respected retail pharmacy/healthcare organization and has career growth potential. See additional details below.
Pharmacy Technician Highlights
- The pay for this position is $20.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM (occasional weekend coverage may be required; hours adjusted when possible)
- Onsite position (Pittsburgh, PA 15275)
- This position is a Temporary (W2) assignment
- 40 hours/week
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of prescription drug products using a fulfillment system.
- Process prescription exceptions (including claim rejections, member outreach, and physician outreach as needed).
- Enter member demographics and prescription data into the processing system.
- Research and resolve rejected insurance billing and escalated member issues.
- Escalate prescription interpretation questions to a Pharmacist and follow direction on processing.
- Support inbound/outbound calls with patients or prescribers as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2–4 years of Pharmacy Technician experience (at least 1–2 years strongly preferred)
- Current Pennsylvania Pharmacy registration and certification as required by the state
- Basic computer skills and comfort working in pharmacy systems
- Ability to work in an onsite, production/fulfillment environment
