Pharmacy Technician Job Description:
The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for supporting pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and maintaining regulatory compliance. This role requires independent judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work under limited supervision while providing high-quality pharmaceutical support services.

Pharmacy Technician Schedule & Location:

• Monday–Friday

• 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

• Full Time

• Austin TX 78751 United States

Pharmacy Technician Salary/Wage:

• *$20.00/hr - $25.00/hr

Pharmacy Technician Duties:
• Manage pharmaceutical inventory
• Prepare medications for pharmacist’s final check
• Deliver medications to designated patient care areas
• Conduct routine inspections of medication storage areas
• Provide technical assistance as needed
• Perform clerical tasks related to pharmacy operations
• Offer guidance to less experienced staff when necessary
• Ensure compliance with professional, legal, and ethical standards
• Adhere to all policies and regulations from the hospital, HHSC, and Texas State Board of Pharmacy

Pharmacy Technician Required Qualifications:
• Active registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (in good standing)
• Previous experience in pharmaceutical assistance work
• Experience with Pyxis MedStation System preferred
• Experience with medication room inspections preferred
• Experience with manual and automated medication repackaging preferred
• Must follow agency leave policy and facility guidelines
• Must maintain an active and current license as a Pharmacy Technician in Texas

Pharmacy Technician Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
