Pharmacy Technician Highlights
  • The pay for this position is $23.00 per hour.
  • Training: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  • Shift: Monday to Friday, 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM
  • This position is a temporary contract.
Responsibilities
  • Review the contents of referrals to ensure complete and accurate information has been received.
  • Create patient profiles by entering correct patient and provider information from scanned or faxed documents.
  • Conduct an initial check of prescriptions to ensure clinical accuracy for processing.
  • Communicate with providers regarding referral status, prescription clarification, missing information, or patient concerns to ensure all necessary details are collected and accurate.
  • Update concise progress notes to allow other team members to quickly assess the status of referrals.
  • Enter new provider information, including National Provider Identifier (NPI), into the system for accurate reporting.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required and must be current without restrictions.
  • Registered with the board of pharmacy in good standing.
  • At least 2 years of pharmacy experience is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform data entry accurately.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as a team player.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Competency in basic computer skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage workflow efficiently.
  • Conscientious and adaptable with a flexible approach to work.
  • Must be able to work onsite at the specified location.
