Job Description
- Prepare and package medications accurately and efficiently.
- Count, pour, weigh, and label medications.
- Fill and refill prescriptions according to doctors' orders.
- Process insurance claims and collect payment information.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients by answering questions and addressing concerns.
- Maintain organized records of all prescriptions filled and dispensed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
Critical Information
- The candidate must be able to work Monday to Friday from 10 AM to 7 PM CST, with occasional Saturdays from 8 AM to 5 PM CST.
- This is a hybrid role after training, requiring 2 days in the office and 3 days remote.
- The technician must attend on-site training for the first 2-3 months.
Education/Licenses Needed
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of pharmacy technician experience.
- Completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program approved by the State Board of Pharmacy.
- Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred.
- Must be registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy and hold a current PTCB or NHA CPhT license in good standing.
