Pharmacy Technician

Location: Greensburg, PA 15601
Pay: $25.01 per hour + $1.00/hour shift differential
Shift: 2nd Shift, rotating schedule
Hours: 3:00 PM–11:00 PM or 2:00 PM–10:00 PM
Schedule: Days rotate every 2 weeks; must be available 7 days per week
Holidays: 2 holidays per year

Position Overview

We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support prescription fulfillment and pharmacy operations under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. This position will assist with prescription processing, IV preparation, medication packaging, inventory management, billing data entry, and delivery coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions and prepare IV medications under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

• Work with the Billing Supervisor to enter prescription and billing information into the computer system and assist with reimbursement processing.

• Prepackage medications for dispensing in accordance with pharmacy standards and government regulations.

• Assist the Pharmacist with the final checking process by preparing prescriptions for RPh review and packaging medications after final review.

• Coordinate accurate and timely delivery of medications to customers.

• Receive and rotate incoming medications and pharmacy supplies.

• Maintain accurate lot numbers and expiration dates.

• Assist with physical inventory and inventory control activities.

• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment.

• Work with the Technician Supervisor to ensure pharmacy equipment is properly calibrated, safe, and clean.

• Follow pharmacy policies, procedures, safety requirements, and applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.

• Experience with prescription processing, medication packaging, IV preparation, or pharmacy operations is a plus.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Basic computer skills and ability to accurately enter prescription and billing information.

• Ability to work under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Ability to work a rotating schedule and maintain availability throughout the week.

• Ability to work 2 holidays per year.

Schedule & Compensation

• $25.01 per hour

• $1.00/hour second-shift differential

• Rotating 2nd-shift schedule

• 3:00 PM–11:00 PM or 2:00 PM–10:00 PM

• Schedule changes every 2 weeks

• Must be available 7 days per week

• 2 holidays per year
