Pharmacy Technician Highlights

• The pay for this position is $19.00 per hour.

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–6:00pm (8-hour shift with 30-minute lunch)

• Location:  Irving, TX 75063

• Training: Onsite for 60 days, then Hybrid (based on performance)

• Position Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Perform technical, nonjudgmental tasks in entering prescriptions into the pharmacy system under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.

• Enter and process new prescriptions accurately and in compliance with company policy and pharmacy regulations.

• Send and process refill requests; verify patient information and physician authorization.

• Calculate correct dosage volumes and day supply, converting between metric and apothecary equivalents.

• Process third-party insurance claims and verify eligibility.

• Maintain accurate records and assist with inventory control.

• Support software system accuracy and program guidelines.

• Collaborate cross-functionally, including communication with prescribers, leadership, and program management.

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other government regulations.

• Meet established performance expectations for productivity, quality, and attendance.

• Exhibit strong attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Active Texas Pharmacy Technician License (must not expire within 90 days of start date).

• Minimum 6 months of previous pharmacy experience required.

• Must have reliable transportation to be onsite 5 days a week during training.

• Must be available during business hours (8am–6pm).

• Must have a dedicated private workspace at home for hybrid work after training.
