COMPOUNDING PHARMACY TECHNICIAN | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:

• Location: New Hyde Park NY 11040 – 100% On-site
• Payrate: $24.45/hr
• Required Availability: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, rotating weekends
• • 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM and/or 10:30 AM – 7:30 PM
  • (Rotating start/end times based on workload)

COMPOUNDING PHARMACY TECHNICIAN | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:

The Compounding Pharmacy Technician will support sterile compounding operations in a clean room environment. This role works under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist and plays a critical role in preparing sterile IV medications while ensuring compliance with pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance

COMPOUNDING PHARMACY TECHNICIAN | RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare sterile IV medications in a clean room compounding environment
• Fill and prepackage medications according to established procedures and regulations
• Assist the Pharmacist with final prescription verification and post-check packaging
• Enter prescription and billing data to support reimbursement processes
• Coordinate accurate and timely medication delivery
• Maintain inventory by receiving, rotating, and documenting medications and supplies
• Track lot numbers and expiration dates and assist with physical inventory
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment
• Perform equipment checks for calibration, safety, and cleanliness

COMPOUNDING PHARMACY TECHNICIAN | REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable) required
• Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
• Active New York State Registered Pharmacy Technician license (required)
• Sterile IV compounding experience (required)
• Experience working in an IV clean room environment
• Ability to work rotating shifts as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a hospital, infusion center, or specialty pharmacy setting
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to sterile compounding standards
