Pharmacy Technician 2 Compensation: pay $20/hr; benefits after 90 days; 401(k) match after 1 year (eligibility dates)
Pharmacy Technician 2 Highlights: 13-week contract (currently set through Oct 26, 2026); required availability: Mon–Fri 9:00am–5:00pm (occasional weekends may be required; schedule adjusted as able); On-site; safety-sensitive role
Pharmacy Technician 2 Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of prescription drug products (fulfillment environment)
- Process prescription exceptions (claim rejects, member and physician outreach)
- Enter member demographics and prescription details into the system
- Research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues and escalated member issues
- Escalate prescription questions to the Pharmacist as needed
- Support inbound/outbound patient or physician calls
- Other duties as assigned
Pharmacy Technician 2 Requirements: High School Diploma/GED; attendance mandatory first 90 days
- 2–4 years of Pharmacy Technician experience
- Current Pharmacy Registration and Certification as required by the state of Pennsylvania
- Basic computer skills
- Comfortable working in a role that may involve access to PHI
Pharmacy Technician 2 Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with prescription fulfillment systems and high-volume processing
- Strong insurance/claims troubleshooting experience
- Strong phone communication for patient/provider outreach
