Pay Rate: $18.23 per hour

Schedule:
- Monday: 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- Tuesday – Friday: 10:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Saturday: 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Work Type: Onsite
Assignment Dates: July 2026 – January 2027
Assignment Type: Temporary assignment with the opportunity for extension or conversion to a permanent position based on business needs and your performance in the role.
Position Overview:
The 171517 Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting licensed pharmacists in the preparation, packaging, and dispensing of prescription medications while ensuring compliance with all pharmacy regulations and quality standards. This role is ideal for candidates who are detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare and label prescription medications for dispensing.
- Measure, count, and package medications according to prescription orders.
- Replenish medications in automated dispensing cells by stocking bottles and cases of product.
- Ensure medication containers are accurately labeled with appropriate patient instructions.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe dispensing area.
- Conduct inventory stock rotation to help prevent medication expiration.
- Follow all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
- Assist with prescription documentation and medication-related recordkeeping.
- Support pharmacists with daily pharmacy operations while maintaining quality and accuracy.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- License: Indiana Pharmacy Technician License or the ability to obtain the required licensure.
- Previous Pharmacy Technician or pharmacy experience.
- Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to select and lift products from shelves.
- Ability to consistently lift and carry 20–30 pounds over short distances.
- Ability to carry up to 15 pounds for extended periods.
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the entire work shift.
What You Should Know Before Applying:
- This is a fully onsite position located in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
- Candidates must be able to work the assigned first-shift schedule, including Saturdays.
- Pharmacy experience is preferred.
- Candidates must meet Indiana pharmacy licensing requirements before beginning work.
