Pharmacy Warehouse Associate – Specialty Pharmacy Operations

Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 12:00 PM–9:00 PM; Friday, 10:30 AM–7:30 PM
Location: Onsite
Employment Type: Contract
Interview: In-person interview required
License: No pharmacy license required

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Warehouse Associate to support daily operations within a specialty pharmacy fulfillment environment. This position works closely with the operations pharmacist, operations supervisor, and pharmacy technicians to coordinate, assemble, package, and ship patient orders.

The ideal candidate is organized, safety-conscious, physically capable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Experience with warehouse operations, inventory, purchasing, shipping, or pharmacy is a plus.

This is a safety-sensitive and physically demanding position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Retrieve shipping documents and labels from printers and organize them for picking.
  • Assist with the packing and shipping of medications.
  • Track shipped packages and report packages that are not delivered.
  • Organize daily shipping reports for management review.
  • Maintain warehouse stock in a clean and organized manner.
  • Conduct physical inventory and daily cycle counts for shipping materials and supplies.
  • Restock pharmacy packing and picking areas.
  • Receive non-pharmaceutical supplies through the back dock.
  • Assist with inventory receiving, cleanup, and staging procedures.
  • Assist with purchase orders and inventory-related activities.
  • Track and reconcile inventory balances.
  • Select products and supplies under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
  • Maintain appropriate pharmaceutical product levels to support dispensing operations.
  • Manage returned goods according to established procedures.
  • Learn and utilize computer systems, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Perform other related warehouse and pharmacy operations duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Verifiable high school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 1 year of warehouse or purchasing experience preferred.
  • Data entry experience is helpful.
  • Previous pharmacy experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of packing and shipping with national carriers is preferred.
  • Ability to learn computer systems and work with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Computer knowledge and typing skills; 10-key experience is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, attention-to-detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, supervisors, and other team members.
  • Must be able to operate a pallet jack.
  • No pharmacy license is required.

Physical Requirements

This is a highly physical warehouse position. Candidates must be able to:

  • Lift up to 30–50 pounds.
  • Stand and walk for several hours at a time.
  • Lift items above shoulder height.
  • Reach, twist, turn, bend, and stoop.
  • Perform repetitive lifting and material-handling activities.
  • Remain active throughout the work shift.
  • Safely perform duties in a warehouse and pharmacy operations environment.

Work Environment

The position is performed onsite in a specialty pharmacy warehouse environment. The work area may have pharmacy-related security requirements and may involve exposure to materials associated with packing and shipping processes.
