Phlebotomist Compensation
- The pay for this position is $17.00 an hour
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Phlebotomist Highlights
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- The required availability for this position is 9:45am-6:15pm. M-F, No holidays, weekends or on call
Phlebotomist Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and other blood collection methods in accordance with established standards.
- Accurately enter patient and test data into the laboratory computer system.
- Manage patient flow and ensure proper handling of blood samples.
- Assist with various laboratory and clinical duties as needed.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, processing a high volume of patients.
- Adhere to safety protocols and patient confidentiality at all times.
Phlebotomist Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in venipuncture.
- Experience with straight needles and handling 30-50 tubes per day.
- Ability to perform blood draws for transplant patients.
- High volume experience, with the ability to see over 300 patients daily.
- Must know how to draw transplant patients
- Must be comfortable with frequent walking and using stairs.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Attendance mandatory for first 90 days
