Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Compensation

  • The pay for this position is $52,000.00 +
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance.
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Responsibilities

  • Providing skilled treatment of functional mobility, motor function, muscular strengthening, sensation, wounds, ambulation, balance, social, and environmental needs
  • Following an appropriate plan of care that includes measurable functional goals while considering patient’s psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs.
  • Providing clear documentation that meets APTA guidelines and billing for appropriate charges in a timely manner.
  • Perform family/caregiver/patient education to increase independence upon discharge.

Job Requirements

hysical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Requirements

  • Education: Graduate of nationally accredited PTA program
  • License/Certification: Must be eligible for current licensure with the New Mexico State Physical Therapy Board. BLS required before employment begins.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Preferred Qualifications

· Work Experience: Greater than one year of experience preferred, but new graduates welcomed to apply.
