PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
- Location: Ashland, KY 41101 – 100% On-site, home health setting

- Counties Covered: Boyd, Greenup, Lawrence, Carter, Elliot
- Payrate: $49.21/hr + mileage
- Required Availability: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The Physical Therapist Assistant will provide essential physical therapy services under the delegation and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You will play a vital role in helping patients regain mobility and independence within their own homes, ensuring high-quality care and effective communication of patient progress.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance

PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT | RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Clinical Care: Provide physical therapy services in accordance with the patient’s established Plan of Treatment.
- Collaboration: Confer regularly with the supervising Physical Therapist regarding patient status, progress toward goals, and any clinical concerns.
- Adaptive Equipment: Assist in securing and incorporating adaptive equipment to enhance the patient's rehabilitation program and functional independence.
- Documentation: Maintain and submit accurate patient treatment and billing documentation within required timelines and in compliance with state/federal regulations (HIPAA).
- Safety & Maintenance: Ensure therapy equipment is clean, operational, and safe for patient use.
- Professional Development: Attend staff meetings and participate in internal development programs to enhance clinical skills.
PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT | REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable); Degree from an accredited PTA program.
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- Licensure: Valid Kentucky Physical Therapist Assistant Licensure (Compact Licensure is accepted).
- Compliance: Ability to adhere to professional practice standards and corporate compliance programs.
- Experience: 1+ year of Home Health experience is required
- Technology: Previous experience with Homecare Homebase (HCHB) EMR software highly preferred.
