Physician Administrator Compensation
• The pay for this position is competitive and based on experience
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Physician Administrator Highlights
• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• Flexible schedule – hours can be completed during first or second shift
• 40 hours per week based on your availability
Physician Administrator Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary care provider for residents by conducting physical exams, diagnosing conditions, prescribing treatments, and managing ongoing care
• Coordinate and direct delivery of medical services across two developmental centers, establishing medical policies and procedures
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including psychologists, case managers, nurses, direct care staff, and family/guardians
• Participate in facility committees including Infection Control, Emergency Preparedness, Medication Review, and Human Rights
• Consult with Certified Nurse Practitioners on-site and external healthcare providers as needed
• Assist with public health initiatives, medical investigations, and policy development if assigned through the Ohio Department of Health
• Travel within a large campus; walking is required
• Work in an environment that houses adults and admits children as new residents – exposure to unpredictable resident behaviors may occur
Physician Administrator Requirements
• Current, active Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) license in the State of Ohio
• Board certification preferred (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or Psychiatry ideal)
• Valid DEA registration
• CPR certification
• Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting
• High School Diploma or GED
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
Preferred Administrator Qualifications
• Previous experience in residential care, intellectual disabilities, or public health strongly preferred
• Experience with interdisciplinary care teams
