Physician Assistant Compensation
- Pay Rate: $77.26 per hour
- Benefits available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment

Physician Assistant Position Highlights

Physician Assistant Schedule

Physician Assistant Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based primary and family healthcare services to patients of all ages
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, diagnoses, treatment planning, and follow-up care
- Manage acute illnesses, chronic conditions, preventive care, and wellness services
- Conduct routine physical examinations and health screenings
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic testing as appropriate
- Counsel patients on healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention
- Develop and coordinate comprehensive treatment plans with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Promote patient engagement and participation in healthcare management
- Perform clinic administrative duties including opening and closing procedures
- Verify insurance information and collect patient payments
- Conduct patient follow-up communications
- Maintain clinic inventory and supplies
- Ensure a clean, safe, and compliant clinical environment
- Document patient encounters accurately using electronic medical records
Physician Assistant Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies (or qualifying equivalent educational combination)
- Current National Board Certification as a Physician Assistant
- Active Texas Physician Assistant license in good standing
- Prior Primary Care or Urgent Care experience is REQUIRED
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Physician Assistant in Family Medicine, Primary Care, or Urgent Care strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of quality measures and chronic disease management
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills
- Ability to practice autonomously and make independent clinical decisions
- Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency with EMR systems and healthcare technology
- Willingness to obtain additional state licenses if needed
- Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and care teams
Physician Assistant Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing patients across the lifespan
- Experience with preventive health and wellness programs
- Chronic disease management experience
- Retail health clinic experience
- Strong patient education and counseling skills
