Physician Hours

  • Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Physician Compensation

  • The pay for this position is between $250-280K annually
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Physician Responsibilities

  • Under the leadership of the Chief Medical Officer, the physician is responsible for delivering comprehensive medical care, including diagnosis, treatment, patient education, follow-up, consultations, and referrals. They will ensure accurate and confidential medical records, adhere to clinic protocols, and work collaboratively with clinical support staff to ensure smooth patient flow and continuity of services in a diverse, multilingual community health center.
  • Conduct medical exams, diagnosis, treatment, and minor surgical procedures following BACH's clinical policies.
  • Address disease prevention, health promotion, and education for patients.
  • Educate patients and families on preventive care, medical conditions, and prescribed treatments/medications.
  • Request referrals for specialty services, labs, and tests as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate, legible, and confidential medical records in compliance with clinic policies and state regulations.
  • Assist in developing and implementing clinical protocols and procedures.
  • Participate in new clinical programs, utilize new technologies for service improvement, and contribute to operations.
  • Provide in-service training to staff and collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer.
  • Engage in peer review processes as per clinic policy.
  • Exemplify BACH’s customer service model in all relationships and duties.
  • Support the implementation of EHR/EPM systems.
  • Collaborate with medical staff in consultations, referrals, and back-up services for mid-level practitioners.

Physician Requirements

  • Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an accredited residency program.
  • Valid and current California License.
  • Board Eligible or Certified in Family Practice (Board Eligible must become Certified within two years of employment).
  • Current DEA Registration.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an AHA-approved provider.
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Mandarin is highly desirable.
