Title: PowerBuilder Developer

Location: Lansing, MI (2-days onsite, 3-days remote Hybrid Schedule)

Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8:00AM – 5:00PM EST

Note: This is a W2 contract role; this role is NOT open to C2C or 3rd party candidates

We are looking for a PowerBuilder Developer and IT Analyst with a strong background specialized in PowerBuilder Development (version 7 or higher), as well as advanced skills in T-SQL query writing for Sybase and MS SQL Server databases. Day-to-day activities in this role include supporting data management, source control (TFS/Azure DevOps, GIT), unit testing, documentation, testing, production support, change management, software development, and data integrity tasks.

Job Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of PowerBuilder development experience (Version 7 or higher), with the ability to research and modify PowerBuilder source code to document steps the application uses with data
  • 10+ years of T-SQL query writing experience, with the ability to write complex queries to pull data from Sybase and MS SQL Server databases, as well as experience developing processes to extract and manipulate data to support data migration and data cleansing of application data
  • 10+ years of experience performing data profiling, data mapping, data manipulation, validation, and analysis
  • 5+ years of experience working with source control technologies such as TFS/Azure DevOps or GIT
  • 10+ years of unit testing experience, including experience documenting and performing unit testing to support program changes
  • 10+ years of documentation experience, including creating, updating, and maintaining documentation for programs, system specs, and flow diagrams
  • 5+ years of software testing experience, including the ability to work with the client and/or Business Analyst to support test scenarios
  • 5+ years of production support experience, including analyzing and documenting identified problems to determine root causes and provide root cause analysis.
  • 5+ years of change management experience, including the ability to follow change management procedures and provide input to execute changes
  • A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other relevant field
