Contingent Clinical Care LVN/LPN — Katy TX (On-site)

Pay rate: $37.17 an hr

Location:  Katy TX 77494
Type: Full-time, contract to hire
Schedule: 32–40 hrs/week, includes every other weekend (may include some major holidays)
Note: May require floating to nearby clinics. All roles are safety-sensitive and patient-facing.

Position Summary

We’re seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to support a fast-paced outpatient clinic setting. You’ll deliver evidence-based care, administer medications/treatments, and document accurately in the EMR while providing a high level of patient service.

What You’ll Do

  • Administer oral, injectable, IV, and topical medications
  • Perform patient assessments, monitor vitals, and document responses to treatment
  • Support point-of-care testing, vaccine administration, and phlebotomy
  • Collect/document medical history, medications, allergies, and related clinical data in the EMR
  • Communicate effectively with patients/families and the clinical team
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, well-stocked clinic environment
  • Connect patients to appropriate resources and support education/self-care

Required Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted LPN/LVN license (must be in good standing; no current or prior disciplinary actions)
  • BLS certification (expiration must be at least 30 days beyond the start date)
  • 1+ year related healthcare experience
  • Experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or ER preferred for success in this setting
    • (Candidates with experience limited to long-term care settings may have difficulty adapting to this clinic environment.)
  • Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (Epic preferred)

Availability Expectations

  • Training/orientation is approximately 3 weeks
  • Work schedules are built in 6-week blocks after training
  • Typical week includes 2–3 weekdays + every other weekend
  • Example schedule expectation: ~75 hours biweekly (e.g., Mon/Tue/Fri + every other weekend), with shifts generally 7–10 hours during clinic operating hours
