A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Product Development Technician in Franklin Lakes, NJ.
The Product Development Technician would be working for a leading company in the medical device industry and has career growth potential. This would be a full-time role working 40+ hours per week, on-site.

Product Development Technician Compensation

  • The pay for this position is $18.06 per hour.
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.

Product Development Technician Highlights

  • This position is a contract assignment with the potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.
  • The required availability for this position is on-site, 5 days a week.

Product Development Technician Responsibilities

  • Assist in the execution of materials testing supporting sustaining engineering, new product development, or technology feasibility testing (with supervision).
  • Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data, such as laboratory material test results.
  • Report results of experiments to direct managers and materials engineers.
  • Prepare technical reports when necessary, following established templates.
  • Maintain good laboratory practices (GLP).
  • Work with the team to organize lab functions, including calibration.
  • Have a basic understanding of materials characterization capabilities.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Product Development Technician Requirements

  • At least an Associate's Degree in a Technical or Science Field.
  • 1-5 years of relevant experience in a technical discipline, or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience with material characterization/testing instruments and equipment.
  • Training in laboratory safety and procedures.

Product Development Technician Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the operation of mechanical measurement equipment (e.g., Instron) and/or materials characterization techniques (e.g., FTIR, DSC, TGA) is desirable.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to integrate written and verbal instructions while working under supervision.
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Knowledge of computer programs, especially Excel.
  • Familiarity with external regulations (ISO, FDA, OSHA, ASTM).
  • Task-oriented and detail-focused.
