Title: Project Manager

Location: Farmington, MI

This role will provide leadership and direction for a variety of projects, including strategic initiatives, process improvements, system enhancements, and new product development. You will drive and coordinate meetings, manage resources, and communicate with stakeholders to ultimately meet the project needs and deadlines. We are replacing our internal legacy system that has been in place for ~20 years. The new application will continue to operate as a Client Management system, provide call center functionality, accounting/billing modules, Client and Partner Portals, and more. You will provide leadership and direction for the application’s development and implementation, including managing strategic initiatives, process improvements, system enhancements, and new product development. You will drive and coordinate meetings, manage resources, and communicate with stakeholders to ultimately meet the project needs and deadlines.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating with the manager to create and implement a standardized project reporting format utilizing consistent project management methodologies and procedures
  • Conducting project meetings and developing detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports
  • Maintaining project plans, resource activity, and overall project status for assigned projects
  • Ensuring projects are completed timely and within boundaries of agreed upon costs and resources
  • Collaborating with all project team members and stakeholders in order to achieve outcomes, deliverables, and meet deadlines
  • Managing multiple projects concurrently (this will depend on the size and scope of the projects assigned)
  • Assembling project teams, in coordination with the functional department heads, and leading core team meetings to drive specific tasks in order to achieve project goals
  • Facilitating meetings, both small and large, to foster collaboration and achieve key results
  • Coordinating and reporting on statuses of current projects, including presenting statuses and updates to key stakeholders
  • Developing strategies to mitigate potential issues and risks, as well as capitalize on opportunities
  • Researching and developing tools to facilitate project management, issue resolution, prioritization, tracking, and reporting
  • Coaching and mentoring individuals on the project teams and providing feedback on performance to their Supervisors/Managers
  • Working collaboratively with key stakeholders to support change management activities and to ensure company-wide communications regarding projects are timely and clear
  • Handling other ad hoc duties, as requested by management

Job Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience working in a professional environment that required exceptional communication and influence skills required; IT industry experience preferred
  • Strong Project Management experience and relevant Certification required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Business, or other relevant field, or equivalent working experience required
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies
  • Experience breaking up user requests into smaller projects
  • Demonstrated success in team leadership and project management, with a proven track record of successfully implementing projects and changes within organizations
  • Ability to work independently as well as within cross functional teams
  • Strong influencing, conflict management, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to provide leadership and influence people across functional areas and within all levels of the organization while under pressure with potentially changing priorities
  • Proven success promoting diversity and inclusion, including a distinctive record of accomplishment incorporating diverse perspectives management, leadership, and mentoring; experience working in multicultural environments
  • Strong interpersonal skills in order to communicate with project teams, management, and other employees
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to facilitate discussions with individuals and groups
  • Ability to apply policies and procedures to evaluate actual observed situations
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems and formulate recommendations
  • Demonstrated confidence when coaching all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Project, Monday.com, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Visio, and Azure Dev Ops preferred
