Title: Project Manager

Location: White Plains, NY/Fremont, MI (Hybrid) or MI, WI, IN, GA, NC, SC, FL, or TX (Remote)

Position Summary:

The Project Manager will provide the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects, ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals. They will plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within set budgets. They will additionally acquire resources and coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plans. They will define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its lifecycle.

Position Responsibilities:

· Define success criteria and direct project development from beginning to end, with a focus on protecting core project goals and intended business objectives of the organization
· Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
· Estimate resources and participants needed to achieve project goals and develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents
· Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
· Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company and determine and assess needs for additional staff and/or consultants, making appropriate recruitments if necessary during the project lifecycle
· Set and continually delegate tasks and responsibilities while managing project expectations with team members and other stakeholders, promoting positive action and individual accountability for all team activities
· Identifying and resolving issues and conflicts within the project team
· Identifying and managing project dependencies and critical paths
· Planning and scheduling project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
· Tracking project milestones and deliverables
· Developing and delivering progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
· Contributing to the continuous improvement of internal project management methodologies by developing best practices and tools for project execution

Position Qualifications:

• 5-7 years relevant business experience
• Experience or knowledge of insurance industry/products/services
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Strong knowledge of program and/or project management methodology and techniques
• Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment but remain appropriately detailed-oriented
• Demonstrated customer service and organizational skills
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, decision making and follow-through skills
• Excellent communication, professional writing, and presentation skills
• Ability to read a variety of correspondence, reports and forms, and to prepare and analyze data in an accurate, neat and thorough manner
• Advanced level of PC skills, including proficiency in MS Project
• Ability to work in an office setting, working on a hybrid schedule (2-3 days at home and 2-3 days in the office) if at all possible; ability to work at a desk, on a computer, or with other standard office equipment, or while in meetings
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field required; Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification, or ability to obtain within 18 months, preferred
• LOMA Designation(s) or completed courses preferred
