Location: Lima, OH 45801
Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday | 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM (4x10)
Days Off: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday
Pay: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly

Job Summary:

Now seeking a dedicated and reliable Psychiatric Attendant to help make a meaningful difference in patient lives. This role is responsible for providing direct care, security, and support to forensic patients in a secure mental health facility. The ideal candidate will be committed to patient safety, therapeutic engagement, and maintaining a secure environment.

Psychiatric Attendant Responsibilities:

• Monitor and ensure the safety and security of patients within the unit

• Escort patients to meals, medical appointments, recreational and therapeutic activities

• Assist in crisis situations, including applying restraints or intervening in emergencies

• Observe and document patient behaviors and incidents in progress notes and reports

• Provide assistance with personal care including hygiene, grooming, and dressing

• Serve meals and support patients during mealtimes

• Maintain cleanliness and order in patient areas through basic housekeeping

• Participate in one-on-one discussions, therapeutic activities, and team meetings

Psychiatric Attendant Qualifications:

• Basic arithmetic skills (addition/subtraction) and ability to read and write in English

• High School Diploma or GED

• Ability to remain calm and take appropriate action in high-stress or emergency situations

• Willingness to work in a secure environment with unpredictable patient behavior

• Must be comfortable with physical activity and patient interaction

• Must be able to work weekends and holidays as part of the schedule
