Job Description:
A-Line Staffing is seeking an experienced Evaluation Psychologist to provide psychological evaluations, annual check-ins, and counseling services for personnel working in sensitive areas related to law enforcement. This is a critical role supporting professionals who deal with high-stress, trauma-related cases. The psychologist will conduct evaluations, offer guidance and counseling, and ensure the mental health and well-being of staff.
Evaluation Psychologist Schedule & Location:
- Schedule: Full-time, flexible hours based on organizational needs.
- Location: Must be located within Pennsylvania. Telehealth services may be available if applicable.
Evaluation Psychologist Salary/Wage:
- 170.00$/HR – 180.00$/HR.
Evaluation Psychologist Duties:
- Conduct Annual Check-In Evaluations for personnel working in sensitive areas of law enforcement.
- Provide individual counseling for employees and address any mental health concerns.
- Perform psychological assessments to determine suitability, prognosis, and potential need for ongoing therapy or counseling.
- Provide up to three follow-up sessions for individuals requiring continued support and document their progress.
- Assess crisis situations, intervening in cases where there is imminent danger to self or others, and notifying authorities as needed.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA confidentiality standards and ethical guidelines.
- Conduct video conference sessions if required.
- Document and report on all evaluations and counseling sessions.
Evaluation Psychologist Required Qualifications:
- Licensing: Must possess a current license to practice psychology from the relevant state board.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in psychological evaluations; 5+ years of experience in law enforcement-related psychology is preferred.
- Educational Requirements: Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited program.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and other basic computer programs.
- Security Clearance: Must be able to pass a background check and obtain the necessary security clearance.
- Location: Must be located within Pennsylvania.
Evaluation Psychologist Physical Requirements:
- Ability to conduct in-person and remote (video conference) counseling sessions.
- The role does not require significant physical exertion, although some travel may be required for in-person consultations.
- Ability to manage emotionally demanding situations during psychological evaluations.
Evaluation Psychologist Education:
- Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.): In clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited program.
- Preferred Experience: Experience working with law enforcement personnel, particularly those in high-stress roles such as investigators dealing with traumatic material.
