Psychologist Compensation

• The pay for this position is $70-$85 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Psychologist Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• The required availability for this position is Shift: 9:00am-5:00pm and 2:00pm-10:00pm BUT will consider part time.

Psychologist Responsibilities

• Unit Specific Responsible for provision of individual, group, and family therapy for inpatients as assigned by the Chief of Service and/or Inpatient Director.
• Responsible for psychiatric assessments, treatment plans, treatment plan updates, progress notes and discharge planning applications as assigned by Chief of Service and/or Inpatient Director.
• Participates in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings.
• Supervises psychology interns and externs as assigned by the Director of Psychology.
• Attends and participates in psychology department meetings and educational functions.
• Keeps abreast of current psychological theory, treatment and testing approaches designed to maintain and/or increase population specific therapeutic and diagnostic assessment skills.
• Supervises Level I Psychologists as assigned.
• Complete requisite trainings, e.g. Preventing and Management of Crisis Situations (PMCS), Basic Life Support (BLS), etc.
• May be responsible for supervising psychological testing on Unit as needed.

Psychologist Requirements

• A valid license as a Psychologist issued by the NYS Department of Education. 2. This license must be maintained for the duration of the assignment. BLS preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
