Job Description
Title: Salesforce Lightning Quality Assurance Automation Engineer
Location: Work from Home (CANDIDATES MUST LIVE IN NORTH CAROLINA FOR CONSIDERATION)
Note: This role is NOT open to C2C candidates
The Salesforce Lightning Quality Assurance Automation Engineer will be responsible for:
• Creating a culture that motivates teams to ensure zero defects leak into production
• Working across teams to understand enterprise quality requirements and ensure adoption of core processes and standards
• Implementing shift-left testing strategies as the organization rearchitects our technology platform
• Partnering with DevOps Engineers to fully automate testing throughout the release & delivery processes in the CI/CD pipeline
• Leveraging market-leading automation frameworks and tools across all levels of testing that integrate in the automated CI/CD pipeline
• Participating in Agile (Scrum) team processes, performing required standard testing activities, keeping the customer experience top of mind during the testing process
• Participating in product design reviews, ensuring quality practices are baked into the software development and deployment life cycle
• Working with internal teams to document testing environment and test data management container strategies and provisioning for different types of testing activities
• Comprehending and decomposing user stories/requirements to identify what tests need to be created and automated across all levels of testing
Key Position Qualifications:
• 6+ years of experience in testing automation engineering with both UI & API-based testing
• Experience with testing frameworks/libraries like Selenium, Appium, Playwright, Cypress, Jest, or other cross-browser automation libraries
• Solid experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) fundamentals and coding in Typescript, or other similar language, as well as experience with Node.js or other JavaScript runtime environments
• Impeccable interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Required Position Qualifications:
• Experience with Cucumber BDD testing frameworks (Gherkin Syntax)
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) supporting technologies, including GIT, GitLab, and Docker
• Extensive knowledge of White Box Testing practices, software engineering best practices, and full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build and release processes, continuous integration and continuous deployment concepts (CI & CD), and test suite development and maintenance
• Working knowledge of Automated Test-Driven Development (ATDD), Test-Driven Development (TDD), or Behavior-Driven Development (BDD)
• Ability to provide hands-on training for existing testers in writing and using automation scripts and ensuring best practices are followed
• Experience troubleshooting issues and conducting root cause analysis
• A deep understanding of shift-left test practices and techniques, along with the frameworks and tools that support it
• An enthusiastic and energetic personality, with an inherent curiosity to break code
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other relevant technical field; Master’s Degree, Technical Training, or additional Professional Certifications preferred
Preferred Position Qualifications:
• Experience with JSforce or other Salesforce API libraries
• Experience with Salesforce Lightning CRM for customer interaction management, case management, workflow management, and 3rd party application integrations
• Experience in SOQL languages
• Experience with market tools, including REST-assured, Postman, SoapUI, CA DevTest, and Swagger Hub > SoapUI Pr
• Experience automating API testing, along with extensive knowledge of creating and leveraging mocks, stubs, and virtual services to fulfill test automation requirements
• Experience with Contact Center Service applications highly preferred
• Experience with Open Span (Pega Systems) for desktop automation, DOM manipulation, web data scraping, and computer-telephony integration (CTI) highly preferred
• Experience with financial services technology/consumer banking testing highly preferred
• Experience with AWS and Rest Services highly preferred
• Experience automating tests for full solution stacks (unit, business logic, contract, usability, functional, performance) highly preferred
