Quality Engineer Details and Compensation:
- Location: Tempe, AZ 85281 – 100% on-site
- Payrate: $23/hr
- Required Availability: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
Quality Engineer Summary and Highlights:
The Quality Engineer will collaborate cross-functionally to maintain and improve processes, resolve production issues, and validate methods to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Quality Engineer Responsibilities:
- Conduct quality evaluations and maintain control of products and services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment- and process-related production issues.
- Perform equipment, process, materials, and method validations.
- Utilize statistical analysis and metrics to evaluate systems and processes.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of quality engineering policies, FDA/ISO requirements, and industry best practices.
- Conduct statistical sample size calculations for quality determination in simple projects.
- Write test protocols, execute tests, collect data, and draft reports to validate outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., cGMP, FDA, ISO).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals.
Quality Engineer Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of quality engineering theories, policies, and procedures.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements, such as FDA, ISO, and cGMP standards.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform statistical calculations.
- Ability to write test protocols, analyze data, and generate detailed reports.
- Proficiency in routine engineering tasks with the ability to work under supervision.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a manufacturing, quality, or engineering environment.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and validation processes.
