Cath Lab RN Job description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated RN - Cath Lab - Travel to join a prestigious healthcare facility in Morristown, NJ 07960. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse with a background in critical care to provide expert care in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. You will play a key role in assessing, educating, and delivering care to patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures. This position offers competitive pay ranging from $65.00 to $75.00 per hour, a flexible schedule with 3-day work weeks, and the chance to work alongside a highly skilled medical team. Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of critical care experience, a valid RN license, and certifications in BLS and ACLS.
Cath Lab RN Schedule & location:
- Shift Hours: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, 3 days/week
- On-Call: 1 night per week (7:30 PM to 7:00 AM)
- Weekend On-Call: 1 shift per month
- Morristown NJ 07960 United States
Cath Lab RN Salary/Wage:
- $65.00 - $75.00 per hour (based on experience)
Cath Lab RN Duties:
- Assessment Skills: Perform systematic, comprehensive, and accurate assessments for patients across the lifespan, from pediatric to geriatric.
- Clinical Skills: Consistently demonstrates competent clinical skills while providing direct patient care and working as part of a cohesive team.
- Documentation: Maintain thorough and accurate patient documentation, ensuring all components of the nursing process are recorded.
- Professionalism: Demonstrates professionalism in practice, adheres to policies and procedures, and identifies opportunities for clinical and professional growth.
- Patient Satisfaction: Responds courteously and professionally to patients, families, and team members, promoting an environment that puts patients and their families at the center of care.
- Safety: Follows National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and proper use of two patient identifiers, and adheres to safety protocols.
- Unit-Specific Functions: Demonstrates expertise in handling conditions, procedures, and equipment specific to surgical patients. Individualizes care according to the procedure and anesthesia type.
- Responsibility & Accountability: Assumes responsibility for directing patient care, prioritizing care based on the patient’s needs, and adapting care based on changing conditions.
- Patient Education & Chart Completion: Assesses and educates patients and their families on surgical procedures, ensuring understanding of pre-op and post-op instructions.
- PAT RN Duties: Supports the completion of pre-admission testing (PAT) in a timely manner and evaluates orders for appropriateness based on the patient's health and surgery.
- Cath Lab RN Required Qualification:
- 2+ years of critical care experience (required)
- Current RN License (required)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
Cath Lab RN Physical Requirements:
- As defined by Occupational Safety/OMS standards.
Cath Lab RN Education:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred).
