- Delivers evidence-based nursing care in outpatient oncology, following the interprofessional plan of care and standards of practice.
- Collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure continuity and coordinate patient care.
- Acts as a patient and family advocate, ensuring privacy and confidentiality.
- Performs point of care testing as required and documents accurately and promptly.
- Develops individualized care plans based on assessments, expected outcomes, and patient education needs.
- Manages patient discharge planning and facilitates smooth transitions.
- Delegates tasks appropriately to team members and engages in ongoing professional development and quality improvement activities.
Critical Information:
- Day shift, 8am-4:30pm
- Remote/on-site/hybrid: On-site
- Compliance/submission notes: Ensure accurate documentation; system action required for rate or schedule changes; invoicing via VNDLY platform; timely timesheet submission essential for payment.
Education/Licenses Needed:
- RN License (State of Michigan)
- BLS certification (AHA or ARC, within 90 days)
- Oncology Nursing Certification (ONCC Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy or Radiation Therapy certificate course)
- 1 Year Oncology Certification preferred
