  • Patient Safety Officer RN in acute care hospital setting.
  • Attend national safety goal monitoring committees and nursing committees such as falls and medication safety.
  • Conduct chart reviews and perform root cause analysis.
  • Develop patient safety programs and initiatives, monitoring procedures for reporting safety hazards, accidents, incidents, and significant events.
  • Promote learning by communicating information and providing advice to drive projects forward.
  • Listen, respond to, and address performance feedback; provide actionable feedback to others.
  • Practice self-leadership; create and execute plans to capitalize on strengths and improve opportunity areas.

Critical Information:
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience with databases and spreadsheets or continuous quality improvement (CQI) tools.
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience in clinical setting, health care administration, or a directly related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or related field.
  • Registered Nurse License (California) or equivalent licenses.
