Job Description:
- Perform routine radiation treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist.
- Maintain and complete electronic treatment records daily.
- Calculate doses accurately and charge correctly at the point of service.
- Simulate basic treatment fields using 3-D planning and collect relevant simulation data.
- Identify educational needs of patients and implement appropriate teaching strategies.
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of supplies and equipment in treatment areas.
- Assist with department opening, machine warm-ups, and crash cart checks when required.
- Shift: Days, variable hours 8:00-4:30 or 9:30-5:30, sometimes later depending on patient census
- Remote/on-site/hybrid: On-site
- Environment: Medical radiation treatment department
- Compliance/submission notes: Must submit timesheets timely via VNDLY; failure to do so may impact payment.
- CRT-Radiation Therapist - ARRT
- BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
- Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Program; Bachelor's degree preferred
