Registered Nurse (L&D, Postpartum, BFHI) Highlights:

• Pay Rate: $75.00 - $85.00 per hour
• Position Type: Onsite
• Employment Type: Full-Time/Contract/Travel

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) units.
• Assist with rooming-in babies with mothers and ensuring optimal maternal-newborn bonding.
• Support an average of 40 deliveries per month and assist in 6 C-sections per month.
• May be required to serve as charge nurse on occasion after completing charge nurse training.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, safety standards, and evidence-based nursing practices.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care.
• Travelers may occasionally be required to float to other departments within their scope of practice, including task-oriented duties such as answering call lights and phones.

Requirements:

• Minimum of five (5) years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, or a related specialty.
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS & ACLS (or ALSO)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) required (RNC-EFM may substitute for AWHONN FHM).
• Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and adaptability in a fast-paced hospital setting.
