Registered Nurse Job Description:
A Registered Nurse is needed to provide high-quality nursing care and treatment services in a Commonwealth facility for individuals with mental or physical injuries, illnesses, dysfunctional behavior, and/or developmental disabilities. The role may involve working as a Charge Nurse, Assessment Coordinator, or Staff Nurse based on the facility's needs. Registered Nurse Schedule & Location:
- Location: Clarks Summit, PA 18411, United States
- Shift: 3rd Shift – 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM or 10:45 PM to 7:15 AM
Registered Nurse Salary/Wage:
- Hourly Rate: $55.00 per hour
Registered Nurse Duties:

RN Charge Nurse:
- Direct and coordinate nursing care and treatment for individuals in patient/resident care areas during evening or night shifts.
- Make assessments regarding staff utilization, supply needs, and equipment requirements.
- Supervise paraprofessional and non-professional nursing staff.
- Ensure the coordination of services, coverage, and accurate record maintenance.

RN Assessment Coordinator:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care and treatment plans for residents.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
- Meet with families and residents to assess conditions and complete required documentation per federal and state regulations.

RN Staff Nurse:
- Provide professional nursing care and treatment services within patient/resident care areas.
- May specialize in infection control, quality assurance, or risk management.
- Use independent judgment in applying professional nursing practices to ensure quality care.
Registered Nurse Required Qualifications:
- Current RN License issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing, or a non-renewable temporary practice permit from the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
- Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to accurately enter health data into an electronic medical records database.
Registered Nurse Physical Requirements:
- Proficiency in a wide range of nursing competencies, including airway insertion, catheter insertion, AED & oxygen administration, IV therapy, medication administration (injections, oral, topical), and vital signs monitoring.
- Ability to perform various medical procedures such as wound care, dressing changes, tracheostomy care, and venipuncture.
- Ability to lift, position, and provide physical support to patients as necessary.
Registered Nurse Education:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with an active license to practice in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in nursing roles involving direct patient care, is preferred.
