Registered Nurse Compensation
- The pay for this position is $37.00 per hour, paid weekly
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
- The required availability for this position is 2nd Shift, 4x10-hour shifts, Monday–Thursday, 1:00 PM–11:00 PM
- Provide professional nursing care to individuals in a state-owned/operated facility, such as inmates, juvenile offenders, or patients in health service units
- Observe, assess, and document symptoms and progress of patients; conduct regular nursing rounds and monitor vital signs
- Prepare and administer prescribed medications, treatments, and immunizations
- Respond immediately to medical emergencies and provide appropriate care or escalate as needed
- Monitor restrained or isolated patients at regular intervals (e.g., every 15 minutes)
- Perform specialized procedures such as IV therapy, wound care, oxygen therapy, dialysis, blood transfusions, catheterization, and phlebotomy
- Supervise and assign tasks to lower-level nursing staff when needed
- Organize and lead emergency response teams (e.g., Code Blue)
- Assist physicians with diagnostic evaluations
- Complete documentation and clerical tasks such as charting, reports, medication inventories, and supply orders
- Coordinate clinic appointments and prescription management
- Participate in training, education, and interdepartmental meetings
- Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Ohio, as issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing (per Section 4723.03 of the Ohio Revised Code)
- Must be able to respond promptly to emergency situations
- Physically fit and able to operate standard medical equipment
- High School Diploma or GED
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
- Experience in correctional or institutional healthcare settings
- Leadership or supervisory experience
- Familiarity with state and federal nursing regulations
