Registered Nurse – Behavioral Health Compensation
- The pay for this position is $28.90 - $41 per hour based on experience.
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Registered Nurse – Behavioral Health Highlights
- The required availability for this position is varied.
- Weekends/On-Call: May be required.
- 12-hour shifts at 7:00am-7:00pm & 7:00pm-7:00am
- 8-hour shifts: 2nd: 3:00pm-11:30pm & 3rd:11:00pm-7:30am
- $8,000-$12,000 sign on bonus!
- Shift Differentials available – Position is direct hire – No contract work involved.
Registered Nurse – Behavioral Health Responsibilities
- Assesses persons served care needs, develops a plan of care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, and continually reassesses plan of care according to persons served care needs.
- In collaboration with the physician, provides/coordinates nursing care to individuals and groups of persons served.
- Assists in the teaching of persons served families, and provides milieu management. Communicates with and educates persons served families/significant others in discharge/after care planning needs.
- Provides a safe and secure environment for persons served and staff in both individual and group settings.
- Responsible for documenting, reporting, and verifying all necessary information according to established policies and procedures.
- Responsible to monitor for and report to the physician(s) any potential risk to persons served safety that could lead to an adverse outcome.
- Creates a customer/client friendly environment by following quality improvement standards, maintaining professionalism, initiating and maintaining positive relationships with departments/programs, co-workers and external customers.
- Provides care in various clinical settings with diverse persons served populations. Identifies specific persons served needs and implements persons served centered, compassionate care.
- Functions as a clinical leader, delegating/coordinating staff assignments and promoting staff development.
- Responsible for the utilization and continued review of patient care protocols, standards of practice, and standards of care. Gives input into process for improvement.
- Utilizes and promotes careful use of resources.
- May be responsible in training direct care staff.
- May be indirectly responsible for oversight of medication and physical health activities in a program.
- May be responsible for scheduling, staffing, and obtaining pre-authorizations.
- Responsible to role model the mission and values of the organization, presenting a professional image that is projected in appearance, attitudes and behaviors, time management and communication skills. Provides spiritual, emotional, social, mental and physical support to patients.
- In the community residential setting required to support and promote a recovery focused environment and person-centered approach within the program.
- Commitment to demonstrating the Hospital and Residential Services Model of Care in hospital and residential areas.
- Responsible to uphold the healing ministry of Christ through relationships that honor integrity, stewardship, empowerment, the promotion of diversity, equity, inclusion, and professional excellence.
- Must maintain annual training and demonstrate competency in the required programmatic training.
- Performs other duties or functions as assigned.
- Supervisory Responsibilities: May function as a charge nurse.
Registered Nurse – Behavioral Health Requirements

- Associate’s degree in nursing
- MI Nursing License
- Pysch or ED experience -May be required to have professional knowledge of psychiatric nursing theory as required through completion of education from an accredited school of nursing
Registered Nurse – Behavioral Health Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred
