Regulatory Analyst Highlights

Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and input data from operators concerning well permitting, drilling and completion processes, operator changes, consolidations, subdivisions, down-hole commingling, and related Railroad Commission (RRC) forms.
- Monitor compliance of oil and gas operators on University Lands acreage with relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with operators to ensure well records for University Lands are up-to-date and complete.
- Draft and issue penalty invoices for cases of regulatory non-compliance.
- Provide education and assistance to industry participants regarding data requirements for University Lands and the use of the public website.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required. Each year of experience in right-of-way, land title, or oil and gas land management can be substituted for one year of college education (up to four years).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with Texas oil and gas regulatory forms.
- Prior experience with the Texas Railroad Commission.
