Remote Long-Term Care Quality and Risk Management Specialist

Payrate: $29.00 an hour
Must live in one these cities Bucks, Chester, Montgomery, Philadelphia, Delaware, and Northampton may travel to these areas and once hired in have to travel Harrisburg, PA to pick travel
Schedule: Full-Time (37.5 hours/week)
Work Hours: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The Department of Aging is seeking a dedicated Program Specialist 3 to join the Quality and Compliance Division within the Bureau of Quality Assurance. This role serves as a critical liaison between the Department and Pennsylvania’s 52 Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs), ensuring program compliance, service quality, and consistent application of standards and policies across the Commonwealth.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct onsite and offsite monitoring of Aging programs across assigned regions
  • Evaluate compliance with program standards, policies, and procedures
  • Analyze service delivery data using systems such as WellSky (A&D) and related IT tools
  • Provide technical assistance and consultation to AAAs
  • Guide AAAs in developing and implementing Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs)
  • Participate in development and review of educational materials, policy documents, and operational guidance
  • Represent the Department on committees, workgroups, and task forces
  • Develop comprehensive monitoring reports and deliver formal presentations
  • Respond to special projects and perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two years of professional experience in human services (research or direct service) and a bachelor’s degree

OR

  • An equivalent combination of experience and training

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social or Behavioral Sciences, Public Health, or a related field
  • Knowledge of quality assurancerisk management, and home and community-based services
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with data interpretation and report writing
