A-Line Staffing Solutions is Hiring an Oncology (BCOP) Pharmacist for a Remote Position Supporting the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs (VA)


The primary role of the Oncology CPP is to serve as a core member of the oncology team, providing direct patient care serving their patients through the provision of oncology pharmacy services. The Oncology Clinical Pharmacy Practitioner (CPP) will be responsible for oncology pharmacy care activities, including patients receiving chemotherapy and other oncology and hematology products. 


The Remote Clinical Specialist Pharmacist practices as a clinical expert in specialty practice area(s).

  • In addition to direct patient care activities, this position is responsible for ensuring appropriate medication therapy and clinical outcomes for the institution related to specialty area.
  • Monitors drug therapy regimens and performs daily in-depth patient profile review to assess, monitor and recommend appropriate drug therapy as applicable.
  • Consistently evaluates, intervenes, and documents adverse drug reactions, medication variances and clinical interventions beyond institutional protocols.
  • Prevents and/or resolves drug-related problems to ensure safety, efficacy, and cost-efficiency by consulting with the ordering prescriber and appropriately documents.
  • Answers drug information questions with in-depth knowledge of research designs, methodologies, and biostatistics.
  • Oversees the work performed by pharmacy students, technicians, and pharmacists to ensure performance standards are maintained and work is in accordance with state, federal and organizational regulations.
  • Proactively reviews trends, recommends patient safety solutions in specialty, and processes orders accurately and efficiently.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • A doctoral degree in Pharmacy that is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
  • Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) required
  • Active State Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist License in state of Residence
  • ASHP- Accredited Post Graduate Year 1 and 2 Residency or Fellowship or equivalent experience in the specialty area.
