OVERVIEW:
This role is ideal for Pharmacists ready to step into a clinical, non-retail environment.
You’ll review prior authorization requests, apply clinical judgment, and support coverage decisions while working alongside a collaborative pharmacy team.
Prior authorization experience in a PBM or specialty pharmacy is preferred
Strong retail pharmacists with at least 5 years of experience are encouraged to apply
SCHEDULE:
- Training (4 weeks): Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM CT
- Regular Shift: Monday–Friday | 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM (local time zone)
JOB OVERVIEW:
- Review prior authorization requests and supporting documentation
- Apply clinical knowledge to assist with medication approval decisions
- Communicate with providers, pharmacies, and internal teams
- Handle inbound calls and escalations as needed
- Document case activity accurately and efficiently
- Stay current on drug therapies, disease states, and pharmacy guidelines
REQUIREMENTS:
- Active Pharmacist license (any U.S. state, in good standing)
- Preferred: Prior authorization experience (PBM, managed care, or specialty pharmacy)
- OR: 5–7+ years of strong retail pharmacy experience
- Solid clinical knowledge and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
