Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacist Compensation

• The pay for this position is $53.00 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacist Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• The required availability for this position is 7am to 12am CST - 8 hours/day *Possible weekend shifts*, Training: M-F 8-4:30PM

Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacist Responsibilities

• Collaborating with Technicians and Nurses to process authorization requests, including answering clinical questions, collecting appropriate clinical/medical data needed to perform clinical assessments, and reviews as per the health plan/employer agreed criteria within the designated service level agreements
• Coordinating timely communication of case decision to physician, health-plan/employer, patient and other healthcare professionals following agreed upon approval & denial management processes
• Handling inbound phone calls and escalations from physicians or patients regarding Prior Authorization
• Establishing and maintaining communication among CVS Caremark, health plan and employer group staff
• Maintaining professional and technical knowledge of drug and disease-states for the Specialty Medical programs administered within the Novologix platform
• Performing other related projects and duties as assigned

Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacist Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
• Minimum of 2-5 years experience
• Active pharmacist license in state of residence in good standing

• On call and after hours pharmacist availability may be required
