Remote Prior Authorization Representative Compensation
- The pay for this position is $17.50 per hour
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Remote Prior Authorization Representative Highlights
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- The required availability for this position is M-F 7:00 AM-8:00 PM CST. Training hours are M-F 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST
Remote Prior Authorization Representative Responsibilities
- Utilizing multiple software systems to complete Medicare appeals case reviews
- Meeting or exceeding government mandated timelines
- Complying with turnaround time, productivity and quality standards
- Conveying resolution to beneficiary or provider via direct communication and professional correspondence
- Plans and organizes work assignments, set priorities and completes work with a minimum of supervision
- Participates in cross-training to perform all roles within the department
Remote Prior Authorization Representative Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
- Solid knowledge of prescription drug reimbursement, including insurance plan types, PBM and major medical benefits, prior authorizations and appeals processing
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment, handling both inbound and outbound calls
- Must be organized, detail-oriented and able to document cases clearly and accurately in accordance with the program guidelines
- Typing speed of 30 WPM
Remote Prior Authorization Representative Preferred Qualifications
- At least two years of general business experience that includes problem resolution, business writing, quality improvement and customer service
- Six months of working in a virtual role where the supervisor is not physically in the same space
- Six months of PBM/pharmaceutical related work strongly desired
